    The background settings seem to have changed and no longer feature the light wood option. I am finding it very difficult to play as most of the options are too dark and the white is far too bright. has anyone else noticed this problem and do you think
    they will restore the light wood option?

    I love these posts from people who know exactly what they are talking about, but fail to give any information, like what game they are playing, heck we don't even know if this is on Xbox or PC.

    Lynsey24, in the future give information, its better to give too much information than too little, or in this case none at all.

    Can you give us more info, like the background settings for what? You haven't told us what game are app you are using which has these settings.

    Can you check in Settings > Privacy > Background Apps and check that the Xbox App is set to On so that it can run in the background?

    Annoying sound in the background while at the Xbox Dashboard

    Go into the dashboard sound settings and look for the rating background sound settings.

    Make sure it is switched off as that causes an annoying noise to play in the background.

    Just plug in a USB drive with some Images on it. then set it as the background.

    (Guide>Media>Picture Viewer>Press y on image to set as background)
