Background Recording Notification Spams

I had same issue of the dvr not recording when i requested ' xbox record that' I was getting the notification saying that the clip was being recorded however there was no notification saying that the recording had ended. However the dvr recorded automatically
when being promoted etc.

My fix was the snap the game dvr while playing the game so that its on in the background. Now all my xbox record that requests are now being saved and ready for editing

Can you check the following settings

In the game bar, hit the cog > Capturing > tick the boxes for 'Record in the background while I'm playing a game' & 'Show microphone recording notifications'

Another thing to check is what shortcut is mapped to the record shortcut via Shortcuts

I'm with you on this, this is my BIGGEST gripe with Xbox One right now

Playing FIFA and after a 1hrs sessions I've got 40+ notifications and video clips, take me ages to find that one video clip that I asked for

I've now given up with the whole feature, disable all recordings

Cannot believe Xbox allows EA to essentially spam our notifications and game clips

if they message you click on the More button under the message and report it.

if they keep spamming you with notifications go to their profile and report them.

in the details box you can add that they are harassing you by spamming you with notifications
