    Recovering Avatar Awards

    I have recently purchased the Gears of War limited edition Xbox and transferred my profile from the hard drive of the xbox I shared with my younger brother. Not wanting to take the avatar awards he has also earned on his profile, I only transferred the awards
    that I had that he didn't. Now I do not have any of my avatar awards that I didn't transfer, even after recovering my gamertag. They still show up on xbox.com, but not on my system. Is there a way to recover the awards to my xbox?

    Also to add on to HyruleBalverine's Statement even if you could License Transfer you still couldn't access your gamerpictures because Dashboard Themes, Avatar Awards, and Gamer Pictures are not transferable.

    No, you need to re-play the games to unlock the avatar awards again unfortunately. And you are correct, with saved games they do not transfer from one profile to another.

    Avatar Items not transferable between accounts? Why?

    Avatar Store items and avatar awards are available only for the gamertag that purchased or unlocked the item. If you want to use an avatar item with another gamertag, that gamertag must purchase or unlock the item.

    The only thing I can suggest is give MS a call and maybe they can transfer the licenses on their end?
