    Avoid turning on console when turning on controller


    Lately, I started using the my Xbox (Series X) controller w/ my PC. However, whenever I turn on the controller, it automatically turns on the console too, which is unnecessary whenever I want to use it with the PC.

    Isn't there an option to disable console auto power-on overall? I don't mind pushing the button on the console if needed.

    When synced to PC it stops working on Xbox until it syncs back to Xbox.

    As long as it is synced with your Xbox it will always turn on the console. How are you using it on your PC, with a USB cable?

    Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. In most cases there really isn't a way. The only way would be to resync with a different console, but then you will have to re-sync to your console every time. I scoured the settings there is no way to
    turn off the controller from turning on console.
