Avatar skins for child account

i have literally been trying for YEARS to allow my children access to Avatar skins. This weekend there are a bunch of Marvel Hero skins that are free. I have “purchased them for my account” and the family accounts cannot see them as options. I tried to “purchase”
them for the child accounts and it tells me that child accounts can’t purchase these and to purchase with an adult account!!

Why must this be so difficult? I would think kids would change the looks of their avatars FAR more often the

An adults and yet Incan not figure out how to do it. I have been an xbox live gold member since its inception! (I even still have the credit card sized ID card). How do I do this?

Multiple avatarrs connected to one XboxLive account

we got my kids an xbox 360 to share for Christmas. Is it true that only one avatar can be connected to the Live account? Can my other child NOT dowloand skins/accessories for the avatar that is stored on the hard drive?

Avatar Companion blocked for child account - Parent can't purchase for a kid? Seriously?

So, my daughter wants to purchase an avatar item, Baby Groot Companion, for her avatar from the marketplace store. The item is FREE. She's blocked from doing so by MS due to being a child/teen account. Even though I am her parent, and even though I changed the family settings to allow her to purchase content and even though I have billing setup with MS, she still CANNOT purchase the item. I can't purchase it for her. Seriously?!!

Who in their infinite wisdom decided that FREE content allowed by a parent, can still NOT be purchased by a child? Come to think of it, if this is the case, why is there no way for a parent to purchase content and gift it to a child account?

Hi there,

We appreciate your concern on this matter, but as you pointed out, child accounts indeed cannot purchase these items using a child account. This is a feature that can only be used as an adult. Thank you.

but the message on screen is to have an adult purchase them FOR the child account. So, as the adult that owns the xbox live gold account, how do I do what the system is telling me to do? If, as an adult, I can not buy these for my child, why tell me I
can? And are the very childish avatar skins REALLY only meant for adult players? If child accounts cannot have them, your messaging should not tell the child to ask their parents to purchase them for them. It should just say something like “ Avatar skins (many
of which are obviously designed for children) cannot be purchased for a child account. So if you, as a parent buy your child an Xbox Live Gold account, please know that 5hey cannot access content design ped for xbox live gold members even with parent permission”.

your children. Be sure to check out the
guide we have on granting exceptions for an account. Hopefully we can get your children these avatar items they're wanting.

I went through all of the settings. I can give them access to play games beyond their level of permission, change ability to view different videos and content, but, while they can now SEE the avatars in the store (by giving them purchase permission) the6
are not able to purchase.

Can you clarify for us, are your children able to purchase content at all on their accounts? Have all the purchases been made on the adult account? We're trying to get a clear idea about what the source of the issue is. If can Private Message me your childrens
GT and post back here when you've done that, we can get a clearer look at what's going on.
