AV Receiver | Xbox App Streaming | Disconnect

    Hi,

i have a Problem with my Setup and couldnt find any Threads regarding this. My Xbox is at the Living Room hooked up to my AV Receiver and working fine most of the time. For gaming i am using the streaming Option from Windows 10, but everytime my AV Receiver
is going Online or Offline (wife starting / stopping watching tv) my streaming connection is dropped. First i thought its a network Problem, but its not. Seems to be the HDMI Handshake and therefore the "new" Resolution negotiations. I can instantly reconnect
when this happens and all is fine.

    What have i done:

    - Set AV Receiver to XBOX Passthrough

    - Set Standby on AV Receiver

    - Forced 1080p Output on XBOX (so no negotiations occur for video)

AV Receiver is from Onkyo (TX-NR515).

Is anyone facing the same issues? Any Ideas how to solve this and stop the streaming connection from beeing dropped?

PS: Forcing 1080p Output on XBOX gave me constant 1080p in streaming even if AV Receiver is offline. Before this change i only got 720p at streaming when my Receiver was off. When my Receiver came online, my connection is dropped and after reconnection (with
av receiver then on) i was presented with 1080p streaming.

    Greetings

    Marcus

    :)

Remotely turn on XBOX One from Windows 10 but NOT the TV?

    Hi All,

Is there some setting I am missing in the Windows 10 XBOX App that allows you to turn your XBOX One on remotely but NOT the TV (and AV Receiver)? If so, I am not finding it. I am hating the fact that every time I turn on the XBOX from the XBOX App on Windows
10 I have to run all the way downstairs to turn off the TV and AV Receiver because the XBOX One is still telling them to turn on even though they don't need to. It seems like a pretty simple thing that Microsoft would have just included in their coding of
the XBOX that if you turn it on remotely, it doesn't send the commands to the Kinect to also turn on the TV and other devices. Super annoying...

Also, anyway to stream the sound via Dolby Digital or some other surround sound format? Seems like right now the sound is streamed in Stereo only.

    Thanks!

    Xbox App Streaming

Hello, since the recent update to the Xbox and Xbox (beta) apps in Windows 10 I have been having consistency issues with Game Streaming in the app. Streaming will start with perfect quality then after 60seconds to 120seconds (this time varies) streaming gets
disconnected with the message "Connection to your xbox has been lost." and when you select to stream again it starts immediately without issue until the next disconnect. I have verified with chat support that all of my equipment is fine. They had me un-install
the app to re-install it and I have been unable to re-install the app (I will be creating a separate post for this).

    Audio headphones/Turtle beach streaming mic

    Hi there,

When the audio headphones are plugged into the AV receiver, there is game sound, but I cant hear anyone in my party chat. I only see their gamertag show up in the chat overlay. They hear me thru the stream mic just fine. In Halo 5, setting audio to Speaker,
or to Headphones doesnt change anything.

If I plug the headphones into the Turtle Beach stream mic, its onboard amplifier does a decent job driving the audio headphones, since the stream mic is powered via USB, but the amplifier is low quality by comparison to my AV receiver. I only got the stream
mic so I could use my AV receiver to listen to my audio headphones in online gaming. I never expected or planned on using it to power the headphones.

Can I even can plug the Sennheiser game headphones into the AV receiver and the Mic into the controller now? If this stream mic is already connected to the XBOX via USB, and chat is only available when the headphones are connected into the stream mic and
both run to the XBOX wired via USB, is it correct to assume that PC gaming headphones with a built in mic also cannot be split (the mic connected to the controller and chat sound coming through the AV receiver)? Im starting to think both the headphones and
the mic must be connected to the controller together, communicating to the XBOX wirelessly, or ill just get game sound through the headphones and no chat like I am niw with this set up?

Xbox One select correct receiver input?

So your saying that the XBox does change the AV Receiver Input to a default Input? I was under the impression that the AV receiver powered-on to whatever the last Input that was selected when the receiver was powered off.
