Autosaves not working

This is my first lego game and possibly my last. On several occasions I've found that upon returning to a game I placed a level or two back from where I left off, which is incredibly infuriating. For example, I've now completed the game, but my save places
me two to three levels behind. I'd like to just do the free play after completing the game, but the thought of spending another hour or so just to possibly have this happen all over again is just not worth it. Anyone have any tips or suggestions?

This might be referring to two separate problems.

Is there space available on your xbox hard drive? You may be encountering save errors if there isn't enough space to save data. Since this is happening with more than one auto-save feature, it might be something you want to double check.

It's also possibly you may have been signed out of your Xbox live account. Make sure you are logged in when playing playing the game.

You will get a 'not signed in' message sometimes if you haven't created and registered a WBID. This is not necessary to auto-save game data, though, only to link your account with the mobile version of the game.

If you are still encountering errors, try to be a little bit more specific about what's happening. I hope these suggestions help.

My story will not save past the batsman yellow lantern fight. It also won't save when I complete any fights in the other modes. Also when I try and enter the archive it says I need to sign in when I am

 

you are using the save and quit option and not just turning it off right?

 

I've used the save and quit and I've just turned it off. Both result in me losing progress. For example, I finished the game once again tonight and immediately after I quit out using the save and quit. I later went back to the game and found myself starting
back at the last Dr. Doom level. It seems that the autosave function (i.e. when the shield icon pops up in the lowwe right) doesn't seem to do anything.

 

I may have discovered the problem. Somewhere within the last 3 levels the save function ceases to work if at any time the player goes to the home screen and uses any other apps. Even though the game is still available and essentially running (i.e. I can
go back to it and start playing immediately) this somehow corrupts the save system. What I had to do is save and exit every time I needed to go to the home screen or use another app. Now that I've completed the story I no longer experience this issue and I
can use another app and come back to this game and my saves will still work. I hope this helps someone who may be experiencing the same problem.

 

We have also run into this problem. At one point it lost all saves completely. But it does seem to have a problem resuming play from a save.

 

Never had any of these issues on the 360 version. I just downloaded the game for my xbox one, and only completed the first level before quitting for the night. I will be monitoring the save spots and will let you know if I also run into problems such as
this. Hopefully it is just a fluke, but it sounds like at least a couple of you have had similar experiences.

The Lego franchise is great - so hopefully this wont sour your overall experience. My son and I have played just about every lego game there is, and have never had an issue with game saves...well, with exception to the LEGO Batman 2 game - I got a corrupt
save file that really *** things up - but make no mistake, this Marvel game is nothing short of awesome once the game gets rolling. So many cool characters to acquire, good DLC regarding character packs, and just an overall good game from my xbox 360 (and

I am back. I am happy to report there have been no problems yet on my end. autosave feature is working great. You do have to watch the movie everytime you load your game, but that can be bypassed by pressing Y to skip.

 

This just happened to me so I searched and found this thread. Truly unacceptable, I now have to play through several levels again to get back to where I was? No thanks, I'll be ditching the game.

 

This is happening on the hobbit and batman 3. Any solution?

 

I lost all the game once and then got stuck and thought a reboot would help. Now I lost all my progress again. Has anyone found a fix?

 

Has any progress been made on this? Just picked up the game and lost a good 6 hrs worth of saves.

 

I'm experiencing exactly the same issue. Autosave doesn't works at all, and even if I save my progress manually at checkpoint the progress is lost. The only thing that is saved is progress afrer finishing a level. Pretty frustrating.. :-(

 

One thing we can do is contact the gamemaker and wait for the answer.
