Autosave failed to save all day

My xbox crashed this evening and when I loaded my minecraft world up again the autosave had not saved it all day. Lost the entire days worth of work. Does anyone know why this would happen? I've since tried power cycling and uninstalling the game, game save
and my profile and now the world won't sync.

I could CRY!

The game autosaves and only cycles through THREE saves with the prefix "AUTO" in the load game list. Each time it autosaves, it overwrites the oldest autosave so you always have your last three save points.

All the numbered ones will be your manual saves. You should manually save often as well as letting the autosave feature work for you as well.

When switching characters, you should manually save. Then go into the load menu and note the number of the save so you can find it easily.

Honestly their save game organization has never been very good. I wish it listed them by character if you have more than one so you could easily choose which to play and that the autosaves were character specific.

Cloud Save Bugginess

To clarify, I didn't lose one save. I lost all saves from that day - like 3 or 4 manual saves and at least a dozen autosaves. Since I only shutdown the console once it's rather impossible that shutting down the console mid-save during all of them was the
cause. I suppose corrupted saves is *possible*, but it seems extraordinarily unlikely for it to happen that many times in a row.

Make sure you don't have the disable auto save checked

if you went away for a while and the xbox auto turned off when you turn it back on to resume it turns the auto save off.

I consider this an AutoSave Bug: On the XBox 360 we could
set the frequency interval when the game would AutoSave, but in the XBox One version this feature does not exist; it is either enabled or disabled. The default is “enabled” no matter how it was set on game exit which is hugely problematic, especially
if you die or enchant. (I have noted this is an option during new game setup). The issue is significant for me and I kindly request equality with the XBox 360 version when possible. I cannot begin to tell you how many hours have been tossed away redoing
a cave or task when I’ve disabled the AutoSave because it saves like every minute… only to get stepped-on by my inept decisions or critter mugging. *

Check for the game's autosave icon! If you close the game when the icon is on the screen, it can cause the save to fail and wipe out your autosave slot as well.

I learned that the hard way, haha! If you exit too quickly after completing a level, that tends to happen.

Just a Volunteer

There are 8 manual slots to save your progress thru the game and numerous autosave and checkpoints that save as you complete the current quest. I have autosave set for 5 minutes but after I have completed a quest I use manual save and then delete all the autosaves and checkpoints that are time stamped older than the manual save. You don't need to keep autosaves and checkpoints after you manual save.

If you get a message about "no room to save" the reserved space for game saves that's created when the game is installed has been filled up with autosaves and checkpoints and they should be deleted.
