    For some reason, for the last couple of weeks, as soon as I open the Xbox app, it automatically logs me out instantly, and will not let me log back in. I have tried resetting, uninstalling (via settings and PowerShell) and reinstalling and numerous other things. At the bottom of the app, it says "Having trouble installing or launching games? Fix it now", but none of the recommendations on the site linked have helped. Since I'm not logged into the app, I cannot launch any games from it, but I can launch them via the start menu. There is nothing wrong with my Windows Store account. I can log in on another computer just fine, I can log into Windows and launch the app as another user on my PC and it works fine for them, and I have no other problems with my account, as far as I can tell. The only other (seemingly unrelated) issue I'm having is this Snipping Tool problem (https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows11/comments/11l0otr/snipping_tool_window_invisible/) (https://aka.ms/AAjyjc0). The only suggestion that I've been given and refused to follow is to Reset Windows. Do you have any idea how long it will take me to recover from that? How many apps and games I have installed across four HDD and SSDs? I don't need the Xbox app enough to go through all that hassle. I would greatly appreciate any other help that anyone can give me!

    I have followed all the steps on those two articles (the first is the one linked in the Xbox app) except for "If none of those options work, select the Start button > Settings > Accounts , then find the Microsoft account you used to sign in to the Xbox app and select Remove. Then go back to the Xbox app and sign in with the Microsoft account you just removed." I am using Windows 11, and when I go to Settings > Accounts, there is no option to remove an account.

    I really have no intention of resetting my PC. I have so many apps, applications, and custom settings, that it would be devastating to reset and have to redo all of it. I have too many game launchers and game saves that are scattered across 4 different drives to get it all straight. If we can find no other way to fix the problem, I will just cease using the Xbox app until the next time I decide to make major changes to my PC and completely rebuild it. I don't see that being anytime soon. Please help me find a better solution.

    Based on your description, if your account works fine on the Xbox app from a different PC, then this might have something to do with your device itself. Since this is an app-specific issue, may we know if the methods you followed to troubleshoot this particular problem were from these support articles?

    Furthermore, if you plan in resetting your device, you need to back up all your data and will have to reinstall some applications and software again.

    Does it matter that it was Xbox Support via Twitter that told me that it was a Windows issue and I should reach out to Windows Support (after trying about a dozen different methods of trying to fix my problem)? Is contacting them via this method going to change their ability or methods of attempts?

    Log in

    Just log in again, you can't remove the login screen from the Xbox app, sometimes you log out automatically form the xbox app for Windows PC, just login again.
