    Hi guys,

    As the subject says, I've just seen on my bank statement a £39.99 charge from Xbox for Xbox Live. I had no idea this was set to auto-renew, as I would never have permitted this. The card charged is an old, expired card (but somehow that still worked!?) and
    I had no reminders in advance.

    I'm very frustrated - I havent' logged into any Xbox services,or even played an Xbox, in 11 months hence why I do not need this renewing.

    Is there any option to have this refunded, as I never actually opted in for auto-renew?

    Hello, if i look in browser to Subscriptions page in says:

    "Xbox Live Gold

    1 Month Xbox Live Gold

    Renews On:
    21/02/2015Cancel automatic payment"

    If i click Cancel automatic payment it says:

    "You Currently Have: Xbox LIVE Free: Xbox LIVE Silver Membership RENEWS: 17/02/2015
    AUTOMATIC RENEWAL: ON OFF"


    So, what is this, do i have free gold or what? i paid for this months gold but i dont want it anny more. I do not want Microsoft to charge me afterwards for their bug.

    Anytime you purchase gold directly from Xbox, there is a notice that the subscription will auto-renew unless you turn it off. So by confirming the purchase, you agreed to auto-renewal.

    Downgrade to silver

    If you have the automatic payment option then.
    support.xbox.com/.../cancel-xbox-live-gold-subscription . If your not using the automatic payment option, just wait until you get paid and buy another subscription card, or buy Xbox Live membership from the marketplace.

    When you enter your payment info it will automatically be set to auto renew. That way each month money will automatically be taken from your payment method each month. You will be notified 15days in advance before being charged.
