Auto reboots on Windows 10 with Xbox One Controller

I have a very weird problem with my system. As soon as I try to connect an Xbox One Wireless Controller (with its adapter) to my system, it simply reboots. No message, no warning, nothing. But while it's rebooting, the controller connects and stays that
way. It's happening for the last 3 days or so.

I'm using Windows 10 x86 with 2.5G of RAM, and I know for a fact that as soon as the system runs out of it, it will reboot like this. Shouldn't be the cause for this behavior, though.

Is there anything I can do?

I have a 2nd gen controller (Dusk Shadow with headphone socket, no Bluetooth) and this was the first thing I did as soon as this started to happen.

try to reinstall Xbox controller and every software linked them

I think I'm getting closer to the source. It happened again when I tried connecting the controller after opening a game. Then, after closing some apps (I have an AutoScript to control media stuff, like System Volume and an app to warn me when the controller's
battery is flat), i noticed that Steam was trying to take the controller over. Maybe that's the cause for the reboot? (Also, pressing the Xbox button to turn it off was triggering the Volume without said apps open. Weird)
