Auto Muting Assistance

Hello, my husband and I were chatting last night trying to figure out how to fix a muting problem on my son's xbox. Our customer support assistant told me to get help here. He said to type the following in the boxes, however it didn't give me the option:

We restarted and rebooted the xbox and it still isn't working. It shows that the mic is muted and when you go to configure the controller and try to adjust the volume it won't even let you select it. You cannot hear or chat with the headset at all. Seems
to be always on mute.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Auto muting

There's a Kinect Command that will mute everyone so if you're saying something similar to it then that may be why it's doing that. Try saying "Ghosts unmute all" and it should fix the problem

Auto muting

Does anyone know anything about Xboxone auto muting all players in the in game or lobby chat? It is pissing me off. Its a small issue but to have to go through and manually unmute all players in lobby chat or mid game is very annoying.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

If your friends can't hear you, first make sure that your mic isn't muted, then check in headset settings that Auto-mute is not set to High (try turning Auto-mute off). If that doesn't fix the problem, restart both devices. You should also check to see if a firmware update is available for your headset.
