Authenticate microsoft account on Nintenedo Switch's Minecraft Realm

I got this notification on my ninentdo switch when logging into my microsoft account on minecraft.

"You've connected to Minecraft with an Mbox profile, Change your Kbox setings and learn more at http://aka.ms/accountsettings. The Microsoft Services fgreement and Frivacy Statement apply."

Then when trying to join my friends realm that I'm a member of it says, "You need to authenticate to Microsoft Services."

This was not previously an issue when I first joined the realm on my nintentdo switch minecraft account. I was able to join and play on my friend's realm with my microsoft account just fine. Four days later, I joined the realm through the same microsoft account, but on my xbox console. After playing on my xbox console, I tried to log back onto my switch and play the same way that I did in the past and it worked the same day. The next day there was an update for minecraft which was downloaded successfully and that's when I got all the warnings listed above when attempting to join realm again.

I checked that all my settings on my microsoft, xbox, and nintendo account allow for online play. I also made sure as I'm an adult that I'm not some how under a child's safety lock, which I'm not.

I restarted my wifi and undownloaded minecraft while also reseting my switch device and xbox hoping that would reset all systems. I even downloaded the authenticator app for microsoft which send me a notification to approve logging into my microsoft account on my switch, but that didn't resolve my issue.

I'm just confused and would like help understanding why I was able to play on my friend's realm just fine on my switch. But after playing once on my xbox console which ran smoothly, I get the error "You need to authenticate to Microsoft Services." when attempting to play again on my switch.

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue with Minecraft Realms on the Nintendo Switch. Based on the message you received, it may be possible that your account doesn't have the correct permissions to access online multiplayer across different
devices.

Is your account a child or adult account? Players under 13 years old will have online multiplayer disabled by default with Minecraft and
won’t be able to join Realms or servers unless a parent changes their account settings.
For help with changing these account settings, you will need to change your
Privacy and Online settings of the Xbox Live account.

ensure your Switch's date and time are synchronized, log out and back into your Microsoft account, check your internet connection, and verify your Minecraft account is linked to your Microsoft account.

Please verify Nintendo Switch settings. To do this, make sure that your Switch's date and time are accurate and synchronized with the internet.

As well as your Switch's region settings are correct.

Once done checking, restart your Nintendo Switch.

For your Microsoft Account authentication. Please sign out of your Microsoft account on the Switch and then sign back in. Make sure that your Microsoft account settings allow online play and that you're not under any child safety restrictions.

And if you have two-factor authentication enabled, ensure you're using the Microsoft Authenticator app to verify your sign-in.

Regarding Minecraft and internet connection. Kindly ensure you have a stable and strong internet connection. After that is to close and reopen the Minecraft application.

It is also important to ensure that your Minecraft game is up to date.

Aside from that make sure that no firewall or other security software is blocking Minecraft from connecting to Microsoft services.

Thanks for the reply. We understand this is on a switch, you still log in with Microsoft account. And with realms, the cross play needs to be enabled due to realms accesses all platforms Minecraft is played on.

If you're unable to do this though you may have used a different account to link your son on the device.
