This problem has been bothering me for a while. Why is it when you change the audio in Xbox settings to go through the headset and speakers u physically cant lower the volume in the party past a certain point this very annoying when I'm trying to record
something on my elgato. Can someone please help me with this and if it cant be fixed help me get this to someone at Xbox who can fix this because I cant be the only one having this problem and I feel bad for them to because this really is a pain.

Things I want in the next X1 update.

I would like to see 2 things, first the snap screen to have a couple of different screen sizes and 2 the option to mute game audio and just hear the snapped audo, vice versa or ability to adjust the audio volume on both individually

example
I want to snap the hockey game while playing a game. The small snap screen is not useable, way to small. Then I want the ability to mute my game audio and just hear the snapped hockey audio. Or lower the game audio and have the snapped audio louder

Can you give us a few more details regarding the situation are you unable to turn the volume down in your Audio settings from your settings menu? Is this something that was once working in the past? Please provide us with a bit more information to determine

Yes no problem when u go into settings on xbox and then into display and sound and then audio u have the option to make the audio come out the headset and speakers but once u select this option and exit out of settings when you try to lower party chat
its volume wont lower past a certain point. I dont know if this was a problem or not in the past.

Are you part of the preview program? if you are, you may want to consider reporting this as a problem.

1. On your console, install the
   Xbox Insider Hub app (if you don’t already have it).
   
2. Hold down the Xbox button on the controller.
3. On the power menu, select Report a problem.
4. Describe the problem in detail, including when it happened, if you saw any specific error codes or messages, and if you were using any specific games, software, hardware, or accessories when you encountered the problem.
   

Aside from that, have you tried adjusting the chat mixer from the setting that appear while you have a stereo headset plugged in?

You would just press the Xbox button on your controller, scroll all the way to the right where settings is and then adjust the setting from there. No need to access settings how you did before as the option would be there on the guide menu.

yes that is problem even once I have moved the slider to where I should only hear the game you can still hear the party

 

I have also reported this problem to the insider hub but even then I still think this has been a problem even before I was in the insider program.
