    Audio unbalanced after most recent update


    For some reason I've gone from one audio issue to another on my XBox One. Previously I had an issue where audio would gradually go out of sync with video, and after an hour or two of being on there would sometimes be up to a 2 or 3 second delay between the two that would only resolve when restarting the system.

    Now since the last update (9/24 according to the menus), there seems to be some sort of audio-balancing issue. It's hard to explain, but it seems like "background" audio has been boosted. If I'm watching a sporting event, things like the crowd noise will drown out the announcers, and on regular TV shows things like the background music, or laugh track will drown out dialogue. This is on every app/game, and not just limited to One Guide, it happens for Netflix or YouTube, and games as well.

    It's extremely annoying, and just makes everything sound so harsh, and loud. Has anyone else ran into this issue with previous versions, or currently?

    Through some testing, I have found that bitstream out and DTS Digital Surround best supports the 7.1 Surround Sound processor. For anyone interested.

    I would recommend you delete your profile from your console and then download a new copy of your profile. This will not cause you to lose anything (unless you were offline when you played most recently, in which case you may lose whatever you did while
    offline, including achievements and in some cases game progress). See instructions here:
