Audio through TV is gone from Xbox one

As soon as I wiped my desktop computer the sound in my xbox completely went away. I've done several power cycles, factory reset, swapped hdmi cable did all those setting changes and still no sound. I'm ripping my hair out it was just working great till
now. It's not my TV either cuz I still get sound out of my roku

Everything is right and I've swapped cables. Nothing is working. Xbox is connected to my elgato hd60 s

Have you tried connecting the Xbox directly to the TV? I know thats not how you want it set up, but I want you to rule out any issues with other equipment. If the Xbox outputs sound correctly via the TV, then there is either an issue with the Elgato HD60s
or a driver/installation issue on the desktop.

First place I would check is the Xbox One Audio Settings and make sure all is correct.

If you wiped your desktop, there is no reason why your Xbox console should be effected. Have you tried swapping the Xbox with the ROKU and seeing if that works?

I would also comb through the audio menu on the TV and try a new HDMI cable on the Xbox.

I know you may have done this already, but it could be something as small as the wrong option selected on either Xbox or TV.

Can you explain this a bit more? I have a slightly different setup and trying to get it to work.

I have the following:

- Comcast Settop box

- Xbox one

- Yamaha receiver

- LG TV

I have connected:

Settop to Xbox, through HDMI

Xbox to Yamaha, through HDMI

LG TV was already connected to Yamaha, and I have been switching everything thorough Yamaha already.

Everything works fine except one thing - audio for Live TV. I have audio for games, video, etc, everything that comes from Xbox directly. Live TV video works, but no audio. I have gone through the Live TV setup and Xbox correctly controls the settop box
(channels up/down).

Previously the settop box was connected directly to Yamaha, through the same HDMI, and everything worked.

Any ideas?
