Audio settings don't show up when using chatpad.

I haven't chatted with others players online in many months but I noticed yesterday that when connected to the chatpad the audio settings that used to show up under settings no longer do. It will only pop up when I'm connected directly to the controller. Is it meant to be like this? No option

Mic not working with chat pad

I have the same problem, and this only happenned since the 14th of March. This appears to be a software issue; The microphone works when plugged into the chatpad; if I adjust the mic monitor settings I can hear myself, but the party cannnot hear me when using the chatpad. I've confirmed both the controller and chatpad are up to date wrt software updates, so I suspect that an xbox console update may be the cause. Please help. I'm using an xbox one x, elite controller gen 1 with the chatpad.

    Chatpad doesnt work

Greetings, CoffeeAndJazz! Have you made sure that the chatpad is snapped in to the controller all the way? Sometimes it takes a little extra elbow grease to get it clicked fully in. Take a look and let me know if that might be the issue. This page can provide
you with some extra information about how to set up the chatpad:

I'm going to move this over to
    04 - Using my console
. They should be able to help you further there. :)

Chatpad won't fit XBOXOne S controller

    Hi there Daring,

I tried my chatpad on my Controllers (Elite, regular, and the same white one you showed) and it fits on all of them.

The photos are great to show the equipment, but it didn't really show the connection issue.

When you say doesn't fit, is it tough to push it on and get it to click in? Do the ports not line up?

I do know the first several times I tried to connect a chatpad to any of the controllers it was tough. I had to line up the connectors and push hard to get it connected. Almost felt like I was going to break it (or the controller buttons), but I made sure
the ports all lined up when I would connect it. I had the same issue with the chatpad for the 360.

Now that the chatpad has been on a controller for a while, it's much easier to move it from one controller to the next.

    no volume

Are you using headphones?. If so, go to audio settings and make sure that your volume level is up. If it doesnt show audio settings under the setting wheel tab then it's a problem with either your controller jack or your headphones

    audio button

    Hi Deathstroke,

The audio button does not show up for all headsets. Mainly the ones it will not show up for are third party headsets. For example, I have two different ear buds I use. One shows up with audio, the other does not and they both work in my controller. If you
are unable to hear any sound, go to the Xbox settings under display and sound select audio output headset audio set to stereo uncompressed, along with HDMI and Optical audio. Under Volume make sure the party chat is set to headset. Other than this there is
no other options except updating controller with headset plugged in. Here is guide for

    troubleshooting headsets
    .

    Thanks,

    Brad
