    Audio scratching


    Whenever I stream for more than an hour or so my audio on my stream (not through my headset) tends to get really scratchy and popping. If I pause the stream and unpause it it fixes it for a little but then starts all over again pretty quickly. Im not using a computer at all just purely streaming through the xbox

    How can I fix this? Maybe a lower bitrate while streaming?

    Hello Mitchell, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your stream.

    I would definitely try lowering the bitrate on the stream to see if that helps. Also, if you're using a wired headset and wired controller, try using a wireless controller to see if that improves it.

    Are your disks scratched at all? Does it only happen with certain games/DVDs/Audio disks?

    Are you connecting the optical audio cable directly to your TV or through an a/v receiver. If you're using a receiver can you connect directly to the tv and see if you still get this scratching sound.

    UPDATE: just spent over an hour on chat with tech support and problems are now FIXED!! Those guys are awesome. Had to reset console thru settings menu and start from scratch. But my audio and all issues are resolved!

    It may not be this issue, but in Settings>System>Console Settings>Audio, do you have Ratings Collection Sounds ENABLED or DISABLED? This might be your scratching noise that is only used for people with Nielsen media recording devices to use. Probably wouldn't
    include you.
