Audio Recording damage

You're doing the recordings with the Xbox game bar?

So, let's try this, first, make sure your windows and all its services are up to date:

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available;

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services.

Then try this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for xbox game bar> click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

If neither of those procedures works, try to restore your PC's OS via the ISO image tool, using that tool you will be able to maintain your installed games and files.

There is no way to separate audio between applications when recording, it is recording audio captured from your default audio device set on your computer, unless you could some how separate the applications to use different audio devices it would record
any audio broadcasting on your audio device.

*when i say i have record game audio only checked i meant that it records my microphone which in turn records the computer audio but it sounds awful

Hello no i was wrong i still cant record with audio. The time i can record before the audio corrupts is longer now but i still cant record without the audio corrupting.

Edit: i think it works but nor sure. Was downloading somerhing on accident.

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. With recording your voice it will not do this through the game bar itself. You either have to do it through the Xbox companion app or have a capture card. As this guide for

setting up streaming windows 10 shows it will only record from the Microphone on the PC not the headset.

Recorded audio

Record game play with or without sounds from your game and your microphone, and choose the audio quality.

• To record game sounds with your game clips, turn on Record audio when I record a game.
• To choose a different audio quality than the default, select the Audio quality box and choose one of the options.
• To record through your microphone, turn on Record audio when I record a game.
