Audio problems with my xbox 1 controller

So, i've been having some issues as of late with my audio and i don't know how to resolve it. I've unplugged everything and re-plugged it and even restarted my computer and updated my drives. This problem started out minor just a little audio glitch here
and there a few days ago and now just won't stop when i pull up two programs im running. I use Discord for all sorts of stuff daily, and have recently gotten more into playing Minecraft as well. I've never once had a problem with either of them up until now.
Even with the fact that i have my audio from my headset rerouted through my xbox 1 controller due to neither of the jacks on my computer working anymore and lacking the funds to fix either. I already know its not a controller problem as i switched mine out
for my brothers which he never used; that and this setup worked perfectly days ago without any problems popping up like this one. The only thing that brings my audio back is restarting my computer and its getting pretty annoying to do after a good 5-30 minutes
of gameplay with my friends and having to do it at least 2-3 times within that session. I try not to do this too much personally because i'd rather not damage my computer beyond repair. So, at this moment, i'm just kind of baffled on what to do next; the drivers
are updated, controllers' not the problem, and neither is my headset as it is new and despite the audio being cut out entirely, my mic will still pick up sound.

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to hopefully get around these audio problems you're having.

I can definitely understand any confusion you're currently experiencing while dealing with this. I would say that the best thing for you to do would be to try the steps outlined in our Troubleshoot
audio in parties and issues with multiplayer games on Windows 10 when you get a chance,

Give those steps a shot and let us know if they positively affected the situation.

I am having the same problem. All of a sudden it started controlling tv and forgot about the audio system. But strangely enough when I use Xbox 1 SmartGlass it controls audio system volume just fine? Hopefully we can get some help.

Xbox controllers occasionally experience audio problems or crackling sounds, but this is not a typical problem. You might attempt the following advice and recommendations to address the problem:

1. Make sure the 3.5mm jack is completely placed into the controller's audio port to check the connection. Audio problems can occasionally be brought on by a loose connection.

2. If the problem still exists, try a different set of headphones to determine whether the controller or the headphones are to blame. If a different set of headphones works just fine, the original set of headphones may be the problem.

3. Make sure your Xbox controller is running the most recent firmware by updating the firmware. If there are any updates available, upgrade the controller firmware by going to "Settings" > "Devices & accessories" > "Xbox Wireless Controller" and then selecting "Device details."

I hope these suggestions are helpful in resolving the audio issue with your Xbox controller.

Basically my x11 has 2 audio jacks , 1 that plugged into the xbox tv out adapter (not hdmi) and 1 that plugged into the controller , the first is now plugged into my tv and game sound comes through fine and in stereo . When an adapter comesout that means
I can plug the second audio jack into my controller will that push through the chat and activate the mic ?

I don't have xbox wireless headset , i connect my headset to 3.5 jack on controller

And i have audio peoblem only when connect controller directly to zbox with usb
