Audio Problems with friends Xbox one S

Thanks, please ask your friend to power cycling the console:

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.
Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.
3. Plug the console power cable back in.
4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

If that doesn't work try this instead:

Go to Settings > General > Audio > for HDMI audio select Stereo uncompressed if you have other selected.
If the issue persists use each one until the sound appears

Also, in order to isolate the issue a bit more. Ask your friend to connect a headset to the controller and see if he is able to hear something

I don't think he has a soundbar. it's only happening with the Xbox and the issue started at 2:54 pm. we only tried to reset the audio and test the audio.

Please answer the following questions to assist you properly:

Is your friend's TV connected to a soundbar or A/V receiver?
If you have more devices connected to the main audio source, are they working as usual or is this happening only with the Xbox?
May I know when this issue started happening?

And, besides testing and resetting the audio. What else did you tried?
In that way I can advise you different things or how to proceed

I'm having the same problem with my XP400's all my audio is fine but my friends are all complaining that their chat is echoing through my setup

You need the one with the audio adaptor to connect to the x12's, That audio works with the old type of xbox and slims, as i have one.
