    Audio output help please


    Hey,

    I want the audio to come through my headset and not the tv so when I play late at night I can hear it properly.

    I’ve changed the relevant settings needed as below...

    party chat output - headset

    HDMI audio - off

    Headset format - stereo uncompressed

    I have updated my controller and reset my console and I can’t hear anything through my headset.

    I have a basic Xbox headset that comes with the console plugged directly into the Jack.

    Do I need a better headset for this to work?

    I feel like I’ve tried everything so I can only think it’s because of the basic headset.

    Any advice or help welcome!

    Hey after trying everything to get the basic headset to work absolutely nothing did.

    Bought a turtle beach head set and works a treat. Shame the standard head set wouldn’t do this.

    Firstly thank you for coming to the community forum for help with your issue and secondly - I love the name. In your settings for Audio how have you got everything set when it comes to the Headset and Tv audio settings please. For example is your Output
    set to Headset or Headset and Speakers. I am just curious as to whether you have your Audio settings wrong.
