Audio issues with new controller on Xbox One

So I recently bought a new Xbox Series X controller to use for my standard Xbox One and I've been having issues with audio. I use a Turtle Beach ear force xo-one headset and adapter.

With the new controller, the party chat and game sound mixer doesnt work, but the master volume and mute button do.

I've altered my in-game volumes to compensate for this issue so I can comfotably hear my party chat without blaring music or gunshots. Not ideal but it works.

I've tried using my headset with and without the adapter and have had no success. I've also tried using my Bose earbuds with and without the adapter and still had no success. I've messed with the Xbox audio settings and havent had any success.

With some games I cant even hear the game sound and only hear my party chat.

I feel like I've tried everything and I am at a loss. How do I solve this issue? Help please!

    Thanks in advance for responding!

    :)

My current turtle beach headset with the xboxONE

The problem is right now the connectors at the bottom of the new controllers are different, they have increased the frequency of the audio too (which equates to better audio quality).

They are working on an adapter but there's no release date, but it's worth noting the Xbox One comes with a headset (even though it's a cheap one).

Here's a link for you to compare the audio codecs you might find useful:

Xbox One controller broken by Windows Anniversary Update

Same issue for me after Windows Anniversary Update.

I have found this only happens with the newer Xbox One controllers with the 3.5mm audio jack (both regular 3.5mm standard edition and the brand new white S version)

Playing Divinity - Original Sin Enhanced Edition had major issues with triggers as well as double inputs as everyone in this thread has talked about.

I hooked up my old Xbox One controllers without the 3.5mm audio jack and all was fine again.

MAYBE A FIX FOR THE HEADSET ADAPTER PROBLEMS !!

It's not a cable issue because people with the new xbox one headsets from Polk, etc are having the same issues and they just use a direct 3.5mm cable already.

I've had audio crackling and controller disconnects just using 3.5mm headphones as well.

    Elite 2 Controller Configuration

On the Accessories app when I select Audio the levels have been altered. As i said to get decent audio from my headphones i need to have the controller audio and in game controller audio set to 100%. This suggests either an issue with the headphones [where
there was none before with regular xbox one controllers] or something with how the elite 2 handles audio. Can it be anything else?

XB1 Wired Stereo Headset/Adapter Sound Isseus After June Update

I swapped my Xbox One to brand new Playstation 4 two weeks ago largely because of this issue and bought Sony Wireless Headset 2.0 for it. I have the PS4 in exactly same place as Xbox One was and there is zero issues with the headset. No interruptions, cut-offs,
crackling etc. Just crystal clear audio, not a single problem. I even returned my router to its former place (i had moved it because of Xbox headset audio issues) and switched on wlan (which again was turned off because Xbox audio issues) and guess what, no
issues, nothing. Everything works. Also, the controller has not lost connection to console, not even once.

There has to be a hardware issue with Xbox One controllers / headsets. Someone messed up when designing wireless communication between console and controller, and now MS is not willing to admit that there is a issue. As said before, I find it unacceptable
that such a simple basic thing cannot be done right. This is exprience ruining matter, no less.
