Audio Issue - Using Xbox Companion to Stream to Youtube via OBS

Ok, so I've talked to tech support and their sending my problem to a specialist but I would imagine that I'm not the only one with this issue. My goal is to stream to Youtube via OBS. Easy day with the Xbox Companion app on my Windows 10 PC. All game audio
and picture comes through easy.

The problem I'm having is getting the game CHAT audio & my mic. I have a SteelSeries 9x I use with my Xbox One and for the life of me I can't seem to find a way to get the chat audio over through the companion. I've also tried using my Astro 10s that I use
for game commentating on my PC but even those won't work through the app so I can communicate with people in game chat or in a party.

Has anyone else had this issue or can direct me to how to fix it? Right now my only options seem to be either having a splitter with a wire going into my controller and my PC from my headset (which would be a little nuts with my current setup) or to just fore
go communicating with my team so that I can talk to my stream (which would suck cause my main game is Overwatch, which if played right requires that team communication).

so i can understand and provide troubleshooting steps can you please confirm that this only happens when you stress or you cannot hear anyone in the party at all times?

some recorders (capture cards) require party members to be in game chart to be included in the audio, if your streaming live to twitch, mixer or youtube via the console itself you can change if the audio is included in the slider settings.

i hope this helps while tech support look into it for you

Im also having this issue. I did figure out how to get my steelseries 9x to play party audio and my mic audio. I had to allow game bar access to my mic. My problem now is the game audio doesnt come through the stream.

Hi Tyler,

At the moment you can only stream your xbox to Twitch and Mixer, if you want to stream to Youtube, you'd need a PC/Laptop in order to do that.

If you're still waiting for an Elgato (you'll still need a PC/Laptop for this), then for now you can use the Xbox Companion App and stream your Xbox there, then using software such as Streamlabs OBS or OBS to stream to Youtube.

You can stream from your Xbox One console to your PC using the Xbox One companion app. You can then use Screen capture software like OBS or Stream Labs to then stream to any of the streaming sites or all three if you wish. There is even a service called
Restream.io which will bring the chat together from all three streaming sites (Twitch, mixer, youtube).
