Audio Glitch/bug

Hello Smokeblaze,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

We understand that you're experiencing an audio glitch/bug on your Series X. Based on the information you've provided, it seems like the issue might be related to the audio settings on your console. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

Before we provide you suggestions you may perform, we would like to ask you for few questions:

• Are you part of Xbox Insider?
  
• How do you output your audio/sound (through sound bar or headset or TV)? What is the make and model?
  
• Is this happening to Starfield only or all games and apps?
  

To remedy this, we would suggest trying the following steps:



Try to enable mono output, see if it would help:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
   
2. Select Profile & system > Settings > Accessibility > Audio, and then select Mono output.
   

This will override your current audio output settings. The combined mono output will sound the same on all speakers.

Note Unselecting Mono output will restore stereo sound.



If the issue persists, you can also try run the audio set up tool:

1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
   
2. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Volume & audio output.
   
3. Select the Audio setup option under Advanced.
   
4. Highlight the audio setup option you wish to use and then press the A button to begin the audio test.
   
   Note The audio setup options in this list will vary depending on the audio setup your console detects. The console will only display the options that are available to test.
   
5. Watch the animations displayed as the test is running to determine if the audio is not playing back through a specific speaker in your setup and troubleshoot that speaker if you notice any playback errors.
   

Let us know how it went as this might also need to be investigated.

Might want to contact the developer of the game. As this issue sounds like a bug/glitch.

Bethesda is known for many glitches/bugs in their games and not that willing to fix them.

But are the posts in the 21 pages each individual bugs/glitches or are they mostly the same?

Sometimes the bugs / glitches from the Beta never get fixed at all. Maybe this (bugs / glitches not being fixed from the Beta) is due to a lack of time or maybe the developer just didn't care & is hoping that the gamers won't complain about it.

If the inability to fix the bugs / glitches is due to time restraints, at least a patch update to correct the issue(s) is in the works.

If the developer doesn't care about fixing the bugs / glitches, then the update will be in the works when gamers are really unhappy about the bugs / glitches. Thus forcing the developer to fix the problem & make their PR speech about how they're sorry for
the inconvenience.
