Audio Delay issue present since 2020 is suddenly fixed by new xbox update?

Sky HD box to Xbox One input, xbox output to tv. no splitters. I have no external sound system so delay is on hdmi audio. Sky HD direct to TV has no audio/video sync issues, audio delay is only present with Xbox one in the circuit.

It's a glitch with the new controlllers that has been present since they released...there is quite a lengthy thread about it on the forum somewhere.

As to fixes, MS/Xbox do seem to take their time with getting fixes out....it took from release until August to resolve the 3rd party Audio Adapter issues out

New update. Malfunction continues. Adjusting delay worked for a few hours. Malfunction is still present

I'm happy to report that as of May 22, 2020 the issue has been resolved. Dolby appears to be working now on the AVRX3600H. An update was applied to the Xbox in the last few days and Dolby Access was updated as well.

There is still a slight delay in the audio likely due to the Denon's processing (even on Denon's "game" mode) but short of competitive gaming, it is tolerable.

Overall though it sounds amazing now, Gears 5 is an especially nice treat.

Latest update does not fix this unfortunately. However, just before the latest patch I noticed that if I play with the audio settings by constantly switching both hdmi and optical to different ouputs, I can sometimes randomly get the optical output to not
be delayed. I've then managed to watch a whole bluray with no audio lag, but it will go back to being delayed when I turn the xbox back on again.

When playing with the settings, it's also possible to get it to play audio via hdmi when the setting is set to off, so these controls definitely have issues.
