Audio and party creation issues.

I have had my series x for less than 24 hours. I keep having issues with it taking quite a bit of time booting considering it’s all nvme storage. I have an Astro a50 headset the Microsoft and astro claim would work, yet after the firmware update, several hard resets,new cables, and resetting the Xbox all I can get is for the mic to work. (It works on my pc and Xbox one X without issue so I know it’s not the headset it’s self. I am also having an issue where it will randomly drop me out of party chats or refuses to allow me to create/join them at all. Nat type is open, all required ports are open, upnp is enabled on my network, and speed tests pull between 700-900 down with 40 up. (Spectrum) this was never an issue with my One X. This has me quite frustrated to say the least and considering Microsoft’s web chat ( claimed to be 24/7) isn’t an option on the support site and the “request a call” option is showing unavailable. I’m at a loss and feeling quite unimpressed. Can someone here please give me some guidance? Anything at all? Im at the point where I’m ready to return the unit and turn away from Microsoft entirely.

Concerning your boot-up problem, have you switch your power settings to "Instant On" for your Series X console. When it comes to your A50 headset I am kinging the Xbox Support site that details instructions on how to properly setup the Series X with a headset that using optical audio. So they can hear you in-game chat but not party chat... odd. Please go in Settings > Account > Privacy and Online Safety > Xbox Live Privacy > View Details and Customize > Game Content > Check that your microphone is enabled and make sure "Sharing Audio Outside Of Xbox Live" is set to Allow.

Make sure your audio input and output are assigned to the audio device you want to use for party chat. In the Party widget, select the Party options … button and then choose Party audio. Under Audio output and Audio input, choose your audio device from the selection dropdown.

Hi there,

I think in Party settings or (in the guide) Settings > Audio (not 100% sure this is the exact path, but it's around there) there should be a Mixer to control a mix of Party audio and Game audio. If you can hear your party, it's going to be a volume issue.
