    Green Screen/ Black Screen of death

    My XBOX one had the green screen happen yesterday. I was playing a game and it froze, which happens a lot, restarted the system and it wont advance past the green screen with the Xbox logo. I have followed all of the steps in the troubleshooting section
    online without success. I then tried to log in so I could send MS a message and ask for guidance and all I get is an error notification saying that the service is unavailable.

    Thank you, this helped. Apparently an Xbox update created that check box for remote play at some point and I never had it checked. Enabled remote play, cold restarted the Xbox. When I try and pair the Android or iOS Xbox app to my console, it now gets past the something went wrong, try again later message. However, now it just sits at attempting to connect, where it says Turn on your console and sign in with your account.

    I tried holding the power button for 10 seconds and rebooted but it doesnt go past the green screen.
