Cant connect to Xbox live when my laptop is connected to Internet

Sorry, I have AT&T Uverse. My laptop is connected through my wireless and my Xbox is connected wired directly to the at&t tv box. My router is a 2wire 3800HGV-B

Is the HBO GO app down?

I am having the same issue. Hard reset multiple times and no changes. Running wired to an 18MB AT&T Uverse connection.

After doing both of the suggested still nothing. The consile connects when actually wired to the router but still falsely thinks it is connect when not.

Uh, false alarm. Over wifi i got speeds around 35mbits, with my wired connection its just 5, dunno whats going on here

Also I noticed that in your OP you guessed that your using an internal wireless connection. But the error message indicates its an issue with a Wired connection. (T: Wired ). Is there anything plugged into the Ethernet port on the back of the console and
when you preform a reset do you select Wired set-up or Wireless set-up?
