Asus: Firewall

I tried this and it lasted for a day and today I am getting D/c again. I do have the ports open on my Asus router firewall and windows firewall.

DMZ should not be needed for this router. Are you suffering from "drifting" NAT even with the Xbox configured with DHCP Reservation, and only UPnP enabled? You can also try (as a temporary solution) disable the firewall on the ASUS router.

Is the firewall on your Virgin Media Super Hub turned off?

I have an Asus RT-N56U router, my nat was open on xb1, but moderate on cod ghosts. my fix was, i turned the firewall off on my router and open nat on ghosts now. I didn't open any ports or anything

If it's not already Dropped I would lower the firewall on there just to be safe. I would disable LAN to WAN filter and disable the firewall in the general firewall tab.

Just to double check you are on the xbox 360 correct, if you are other good general troubleshooting would be go to your network on the console and hit configure, Go to additional settings, restore network settings to factory defaults and power off the console
for 30 sec and while its off unplug your asus gateway for 30 sec then power them both back on and test the connection. Who is your ISP??

Ok, Halo update with the firewall on the router (Asus RT-AC66U) turned OFF:

Failed again after 3.71GB downloaded (the update simply stops - no Mb/s status, and no error).

Next step (probably once my work-from-home day is done) is to reset the router to factory and try again.

This is phenomenally frustrating.
