Astroneer Is Not Letting Me Join A Friend

Me and my friends both play windows Astroneer but when I'm at my house I cannot join his game but our other friends can. I was just at his house and for the first time in 3 months we got to play together and now that I'm back home it doesn't want to let me join. When I go on my Xbox I can join his windows game and he can join my windows game on his but not when we are both on windows. My other friend who is also on windows can come and go when ever they like. When i try to join it says connecting to host for about 30 seconds and then says failed to join host. Can someone please help me with my problem.

To confirm, you are unable to join your friend on Astroneer only when you attempt to play together on PC?

Do you have this issue with other game titles on PC?

Are you and your friend able to join each other while playing other game titles?

Are you receiving an error code when the game times out?

Please try to troubleshoot your network connection. I would recommend both you and your friend to follow the steps provided in the linked article.

If this does not resolve the issue, please answer my questions above.

My friends haven’t been able to join me on ARK Survival Evolved (Non-Dedicated Session), Astroneer, Kingdom Two Crowns and there may be others I don’t remember.

The weird thing is that sometimes they can join me on those games and other times they can’t and it says “Failed to Connect”.

For some reson it wont let me join my friends party and it wont let me join any game we play

Are you guys joining a game that's already in session or are you in their party and upon loading the level it stops you?
