Astroneer failed to connect to host issues

I am having the same issue but on windows 10. I don't have the networking tab in the settings -> gaming setting in windows 10. I am also gettint "a cannot connect to host" and I am trying to join my friend on xbox on the same wifi

We understand that you are trying to play Astroneer with your friend and is unable to because you cannot connect to the host. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner for you to get back to gaming.

Based on the description, your friend was able to connect to another friend however you cannot. We appreciate you have shared the troubleshooting you performed for this to be fix. Since you are using Windows 11, can we ask for a screenshot of your Xbox Network? Please follow the steps below:

• Install Xbox Console Companion app from Microsoft Store (click here)
  
• Launch Xbox Console Companion app.
  
• Go to Settings and select Network tab.
  
• Look for NAT Type and error message/code.
  
• Please take a screenshot and share it to us in your next reply.

Can you and your friend try to close and re-open the NAT ports in the router?

Let me give you the ports:

Port 88 (UDP)
Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
Port 80 (TCP)
Port 500 (UDP)
Port 3544 (UDP)
Port 4500 (UDP)

Make sure to contact your Internet Service Provider for this.
