AstroA10 Headset Not Working

Hi,

I recently purchased a new pair of Astro A10 headset for my son's Xbox One. I have followed every step by step process on connecting these to his console with no avail. I have searched Youtube videos, researched blogs, etc. One step in the process is the
"volume" prompt via "Kinect & Devices" in settings. Once I get to that point and try and open the volume prompt, the cursor skips right over it and does not allow me to open it. I have tried hard resets, soft resets and I'm at a complete loss.

Can you help? Can anyone hep?

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums.

As long as you have linked your Epic Account with your Xbox Live account, then you shouldn't lose anything. If you try the soft factory reset provided by the Xbox Ambassador and the headset still does not work, then you will need to try the headset using
a different controller as the audio input jack could be damaged.

Also try the headset on another device like a phone or laptop to make sure everything works on the headset.

Let us know if you have tried another device and another Xbox One controller.

Thank you for your response. By doing this, will we loose everything that we are purchased on Fortnite? I can always reinstall the other games but I'm concerned about the Fortnite skins, etc..

It will only show up if you have a headset that is plugged in with a headset adapter. Means it works with turtle beach headsets and others like that. It won't work with the headset that comes with the xbox. If you buy a chatpad you get a other headset with
itthat one works too. Other then that the headset options don't show up with the standard headset. Hope that helps.

Will need some more info, what is the make and model of the headset

Has this worked the past.

Does the headset portion work correctly, in other words do you just have an issue with the mic.

Can you try another controller, or better yet try using the headset on a friends xbox or take it to gamestop

If the headset works on another controller then it may be an issue with the controller or console, if this headset does not work with another controller, then it may be an issue with the headset.

Not all headsets are supported with the xbox
