Astro A40 TR + Mixamp Not Connecting to profile

Hello!

I am new to this community forum thing, so hang with me.

Yesterday I went out and purchased the Astro A40 TR headset with the updated mixamp. Upon arriving home I followed the instruction step by step and my mic would not work. The game sound was coming through the headset and was the best game sound I’ve ever
heard. But my microphone would not pick up.

I watched every youtube video I could find and every one of them suggested that the microphone cable wasn’t plugged in all the way. So that was a dead end. I called Xbox Support and they led me through updating my controller plugging the headset into the
controller and hard resetting the Xbox. This gave me game sound and a working mic, but my headset was in the controller and the second I plugged it into the mixamp it disconnected again, and back to square one with good game sound, but no microphone.

So I returned the headset thinking maybe it was a technical issue with the mixamp. I got a new pair of Astro A40 TR, and have the same exact issue. The headset with game sound no microphone. It is registering that it is plugged in as well. It shows up on
accessories and I have tried manually assigning it to my profile but it doesn’t do anything when I do so.

Hello i bought astro a40 tr and mix amp and received on 1/3/20 i ended up having the same issue. I ended up getting a 3 pole aux cable and plugging it in on mix amp in the back and plugging it in to my controller.that seemed to fix my microphone issue.may
have to use it like that till astro gaming gets a fix for it.hopefully this helps .

Have you tried contacting
Astro Support for assistance. That group may have more insight on their products than Xbox Support.

But why!? I'm trying to use the aux to go into my el gato and audio won't work.
