    Astro a40 + Mixamp Gen 4 won’t connect


    Hello, I need some help with my new Astro set up. I completed all firmware updates after buying it. I tried plugging it in to my Series X via Micro USB, but nothing happens. My series X doesn’t read that anything is even plugged in. I don’t believe it’s the Xbox, because I can plug in my phone or wired controller and be fine. It won’t pick up the Mixamp, even though it turns on.

    Please confirm in the Astro command center that you have the update "36797 or later, which specifies “Game-Chat mix audio from XBOX is available now over USB.”

    If not you need that update to make it work

    If you do have it, please check that the switch of the Mixamp is set to Xbox not for Pc, and remember that Playstation Mixamp won't work on Xbox

    Even new ones could be defective, but as I mentioned, the most probable it's that the update it's not the proper one, as it's the most common, sometimes the astro command center says you have the latest update but you don't, that's why I'm asking the firmware number you currently have

    Correct, It’s updated to the largest firmware and switched to Xbox. It’s brand new so I don’t believe it would be defective.
