Assistance receiving promotional emails - No anniversary email

Hi xbox forums!

I had been told by chat to post to the rewards forum, but then was forwarded here by them.

I have not received xbox marketing emails since 2011. I only noticed this around the big hype with the anniversary email, and I received nothing

I receive rewards emails, billing, and store emails.

I have been through live chat twice, they have both taken me through the process of checking my contact preferences for both xbox.com and live.com. I use a hotmail email account and have checked through all junk emails, as well as blacklists and blocked
email addresses.

I cannot fathom why I am not receiving the emails, and of course its upsetting as I've been an xbox player since 2008, adopting the xbox one early in January but am missing out on the same goodies everyone (mainly everyone) else is getting.

The first chat agent assured me that it would be referred on and I would be emailed, nada. The second told me that they are releasing the email in waves, which is why I haven't received it, and then spoke to her supervisor who told me to post here.

I've read through the posts on here, and it looks like they won't be sending them out anymore, because it was random to begin with.

I would still like to receive marketing emails though, and do not understand why I have not received any in years!

Go to
live.xbox.com/.../ContactPreferences to change it to where you can receive promotional emails. Make sure that the email address there is the same email you want to receive the notifications from.

I'm not entirely sure if support took you to this link or not but head over there and ensure that all boxes are checked and that your email address is correctly entered.

Yeah, i've been through that and the same on live.com. Ticked and my email there, and has been since I set up the account.

 

Then it's possible that the emails are being blocked by the email client itself. You should check the settings.

 

I've already checked through both live.com settings, blocked lists etc and my email client software outlook, nada, nothing in my junk, I've searched thoroughly through it all to no avail

 

They will literally go through more explaining to get out of sending you a simple email. I mist of been through support at least 3-4 times over the past month and support either says it was sent at random or my email is blocking it. Its odd because I get
every single other thing from them and they aren't on my block list. And to the requirements on major nelsons site I'm qualified to get the email.

 

Does this mean I won't receive help and I'll never be able to get marketing emails?
