Assassin's Creed Odyssey frequent crash to title screen

I am hoping someone can help me out with this. I frequently have an issue where my game freezes (with an audible buzzing noise) and crashes back to the title screen. It seems to happen at points in the game where it goes from Kassandra/Alexios to Layla in
modern day. It initially happened when I first met Pythagoras; I was finally able to get past this point after multiple attempts of power cycling, deleting local console saves, and reinstalling the game. Since getting past the initial hurdle, it has happened
several times since, almost always at a point where it is shifting from ancient Greece to modern day. Currently, I am at Orion's tomb and it crashes after I speak with Aletheia while trying to load Layla in the present day.

I have more than 100 hours into the game, and although it is beautiful and engaging these multiple crashes are very frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had a similar issue when I started playing the game. It crashed the first time the game went back to modern day. It never crashed again after that. I would do what XBF Amber M has said though, but do a power cycle too, that can also help with issues
like this. Maybe even contacting Ubisoft via their forums may also help, as this could be a bug in the game. https://forums.ubi.com/forumdisplay.php/27-Assassin-s-Creed

I have gone through the recommended steps multiple times (clearing the local save file, power cycling to clear the cache, reinstalling the game, factory reset, etc.). These steps have worked previously (first with Pythagoras, and with later points in the
game where it switches from ancient Greece to modern day). However, it has not worked yet at this point; I am at Orion's tomb and it crashes after my conversation with Aletheia. I have just completed another factory reset and game reinstall, and it crashed
once again. Is there any way to check to see if the save file is corrupted or any other fix available?

Thanks for posting, for issues with crashing and turning off the console do check out the following article:
"My Xbox One game won't start or freezes during gameplay" .

Do note that some of these issues can be resolved by renstallingthe game and performing
a factory reset (using keep my games & apps)
as well. If you do perform this step, be sure to know your profile's log in credentials (email address and password) prior to doing so.

Give the troubleshooting a try and let us know the results.
