    Assassin's Creed II for Xbox 360 - compatibility on Xbox One


    It is supposedly compatible, but my copy doesn't want to run - and it does not seem like fault of scratches. Are ALL Xbox360 version supposed to be Xbox One compatible? I have edition GOTY + Classic. Could it be a problem? (if so - why it's not mentioned anywhere).

    (also: I don't see an option to attach e.g. a screen here)

    (also, also: it is next to impossible to find more info -or a list - regarding this particular compatibility on Microsoft website - there is 10x more information outside of it - which I find frankly quite pathetic way of handling things).

    (also ^3: I wanted GOTY as it supposedly contains more missions and there are other issues if one starts with "normal" / non-GotY version)

    Hello Tempsdad,

    Yes they are compatible with the Xbox ONE. I have Assassin's Creed II with it's DLC packs and they work fine once installed.

    Also on another note you can still buy the DLC through the game from Xbox 360 game store to play on Xbox ONE

    pick assassin's creed 3 as a backwards compatible game

    I as many hope to see this game, and several other Assassin's Creed games like Brotherhood, Revelations and Rogue coming to XBox One as XBox 360 compatible games to play on XBox One. These are just great and will look better. As for Rogue, perhaps making
    an XBox One version of the game, just like done with Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag.

    Indeed, I know that it's regarding Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, when you buy Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag - Season Pass on Xbox One version it will not work on Xbox 360 because there is a version for Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag on Xbox 360 console and Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag for Xbox One. Those two are different.

    Assassin's Creed II, because it is undoubtedly the best Assassin's Creed game ever made (and has the best story of the 3 Assassin's Creed games IMO). After playing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood I couldn't believe how much more fluid the movement is in Assassin's
    Creed II (at least to me). It's like they went backwards with Brotherhood.

    After I get bored with Assassin's Creed II, who knows. I might switch over to my Gamecube and play Twilight Princess some more, or I may go rent Red Dead Redemption and finish my playthrough with that one. Truly a remarkable game.
