We appreciate your urgent report about this network issues in UK. There is a possibility that these IP addresses are dynamic IP that is why you are routed to different places or could be due to other services/software that may redirect your current location to a different place.

We would like to ask for few details:

1. Are all users (including you) having same issue when using different network provider (aside from OCTAPLUSUK)?
   
2. How about using hotspot from a mobile data, will issue persist?
   
3. May we ask for the error message/code you (or the users) are getting?
   
4. Please check if there's a known issue in the area using this link: Xbox Status | Xbox Support
   
5. Are the affected users (including you) having issues with the Xbox games, multiplayer, Xbox Cloud Gaming or Xbox Network? Or all Microsoft services (like purchase issue)?
   

If you are a user of this Internet Service Provider (ISP), please contact the ISP support and ask for help in using static IP address to be allocated to your network instead of dynamic IP address. That could be helpful in this scenario. Please let us know how it went after setting this.

Well the geo location for my IP address IS correct when I got to www.whatismyipaddress.com

It says Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada and that is in fact where I am.

Turns out it was our internet provider. Something to do with dynamic IP address and Geo Location

it is easy to get an ip, the ip address is public information and anyone can legally obtain another persons ip address, the ip address will show geo location but not a physical address.

now if they try to ddos the ip then it becomes a cybercrime and you can report to the isp and police.

you can either shut off your router for 15 minutes or call your isp to change the ip.

if you dont join another party with them then they cant get your new ip again.
