Arris: IPV6 shows up in router settings, but Xbox is not connecting to it

Arris (Modems/Gateways): IPV6 shows up in router settings, but Xbox is not connecting to it
this started around the end of November, I was on IPV6 with an Open NAT the entire month of November and now I can only connect to IPV4 with a moderate NAT,

    Ive tried resetting my modem

I am using AT&T Uverse if that makes a difference, I had a technician out here and he said to check here.

    I have the ports open,

And even having Ethernet connected only gives me IPV4 with moderate NAT,

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    :)

  2. Switched to Comcast **** all in one router, spotty connections

Think I may have figured it out. The Comcast/Xfinity Arris tg862 modem Primarily uses IPv6. The Xbox always shows as IPv4. If its not broadcasting IPv4 then the xbox cannot connect, like mine isn't. Its to the point where it barely registers there is a signal
    to the router

How does Xbox One configure for IPv6

My Router and my computer are showing has IPv6 enabled, but on my Xbox there is no option to connect through a IPv6 connection which is better for gaming.

My Xbox is using only IPv4. What should I do to add IPv6?

Hi there! This is Virginia O.

I understand that you want to add IPv6 on the Xbox.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please check your ISP support for IPv6 because not all ISPs support IPv6. Visit your ISP’s website.

And then check your router compatibilit by logging into your router’s admin panel. Look for IPv6 settings under the network configuration tab.

If your router supports IPv6, enable it and ensure it's set to Automatic (DHCPv6) or Stateless Address Autoconfiguration (SLAAC). Save and reboot the router.

Next is to enable IPv6 on Xbox. Press the Xbox button on your controller.

Navigate to Settings > General > Network Settings. Select Advanced Settings.

Look for an IPv6 Connectivity option. If IPv6 is active, it will show as "Enabled."

Then power cycle your modem, router, and Xbox. Turn them off for about 5 minutes, then turn them back on in this order: modem > router > Xbox.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

Xbox One X dropping IPv6 Connection.

Do you know if you ISP supports IPv6? Your router could be tunneling your IPv4 connection to an IPv6 which basically means it is sending IPv6 packets through an IPv4 connection to communicate with IPv6 servers. I found out myself the xbox doesn't like
this at all. My ISP doesnt support IPv6. When I would look at my connection on my xbox it would say IPv4 and IPv6. So O went into my router settings and sure enough my router was set to tunnel IPv4 to IPv6. I went through set to IPv4 only and it solved my
problem. This causes a teredo error in your xbox.
