    Login Information



    • Gateway - 192.168.0.1
    • Username - admin
    • Password - password
    How to Change Wireless Mode

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the router by entering the default gateway into the address bar (192.168.0.1) of the internet browser.
    3. The router will then prompt for a user name and password. The default is that user name is "admin" and the password is “password”.
    4. From the menu on the top select Wireless.
    5. From the submenu on the top select Wireless Setup.
    6. From the menu on the left select Advanced.
    7. From the drop down menu labeled Wireless Mode select G Only.
    8. Select Apply.

    • Gateway - 10.0.0.1 or 192.168.0.1
    • Username - admin
    • Password - <blank> or Custom-set

    Change Wireless Mode

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Enter http://192.168.0.1 or
      http://10.0.0.1 in the address bar. (Or click one of the links)
    3. Enter the username and password if the gateway asks. (admin/blank)
    4. From the menu on the top select Wireless.
    5. From the submenu on the top select Wireless Setup.
    6. From the menu on the left select Advanced.
    7. From the drop down menu labeled Wireless Mode select G Only.
    8. Select Apply.

    Hi,

    Interesting link thanks for that, lets try a few things before we agree with that link. So I can see on your latest test you have turned off wireless security is that right? That is a good step for now while we are troubleshooting so keep WPA, WPA2, WEP
    turned off.

    As for your network name, go into your ARRIS setup menu and look in your wifi configuration it will be known as your Wireless SSID/Network Name

    Is that all one word with no spaces? If it is, can you try changing your wireless mode on the ARRIS to Wireless G only, basically anything but Wireless N to see if it will connect with no security in that mode

    Can you verify that your Arris TG862G/CT (modem with built-in wireless router/NAT) has been configured by your ISP, to be operating in bridge mode. Since you use an additional router/NAT (Linksys EA6300), the Arris TG862G/CT must be configured to be operating
    in this mode.

    Cannot connect to internet

    If you have another wireless router you can call your provider and have them set the Arris Touchstone to bridge mode. then use your own wireless router. That seems to be the only way. Or go wired if you can.
