Arris: Dynamic Configuration - Enable DHCP

Dynamic host configuration protocol. There are 2 different kinds if internet protocol ,or IP addresses, which are static and dynamic. Static IP is set by your ISP to your specific modem. Dynamic IP is set up at random. Once your service is activated your
modem sends a request to the DHCP to assign it an IP address. Releasing the DHCP should reset your IP. Sometimes with dynamic IP addresses it will change at random anyway.

There is some indication that a TW tech can put the Arris in bridge mode or that you can do it yourself by logging in immediately after resetting it to defaults:

Alternatively, see if TW will provide a modem only or buy your own (cheaper than leasing in long run and gives you more control). Failing that, assuming you can configure port forwarding, DMZ, etc. on the Arris, you have a couple options. First, with the
Arris connected to the WAN port of the N900, you could try putting the WAN IP of your N900 (this should be a private IP received from the Arris over DHCP) in the DMZ on the Arris (delete any other forwards on the Arris). Do all port forwarding and DHCP as
usual on the N900. Or, second, you should be able to use the N900 as just a switch + wireless access point (bypass NAT routing) by disabling DHCP on the N900 and connecting the Arris to a LAN port on the N900 rather than to the WAN port. All NAT, port forwarding,
and DHCP would then be provided by the Arris.

Personally, I would just get a modem only, such as the Motorola 6141 (if supported by TW).

You have to configure your Linksys as a wireless access point (AP), by disable the DHCP server and segment it's LAN from your Netgear's, to be outside of the DHCP server on your Netgear's dynamically assigned IP range.

If you use a wired solution, why don't you just use a layer 2 switch?

Never heard of an end user NAT device that doesn't have DHCP server installed, or at least the ability to enable this feature.

According to the Cox documentation for the Ubee DDW365 DHCP should be listed under Basic settings and DHCP.

Do not confuse DHCP on your router's two interfaces, as one of these is actually facing the public WAN (obtained from your ISP), and the other facing your local network, or internal network, which distribute IP information to any device on this network that
request this information.

If you use an older firmware version for your gateway, and at the same time, configure your console with static IP address that are within the dynamically range of the DHCP servers pool of addresses, then you'll have to force a release for this specific
address before you assign this to a host machine on your network (e.g. Xbox).

Whenever you assign a machine on your network with static IP settings, make sure you assign this address outside of the DHCP servers pool of dynamically assigned addresses to avoid IP conflicts. Or, you can use DHCP reservation, or in your case, DHCP statically.

I would also recommend to check that Ethernet Cable of yours, to make sure it's not faulty.
