    Arris: Can't update games


    Arris (Modems/Gateways): Can't update games
    I was having trouble updating my games weither it's on a disc or digital download. I have 1.7 terabytes of external space and 98 gigabytes of internal space left so idk what to do, if someone could help that would be great.

    Connectivity issues for Xbox live on two consoles. **** DG860 modem

    Update - used another wireless router besides tying into the arris with both consoles. Apparently the arris modem can't support two consoles. Played one game online on the wireless console and didn't seem to have any issues. Fingers crossed. Not sure why
    the setup I had before worked for a couple weeks before al the connection issues though.

    getting disconnected from xbox live while playing multiplayer game

    If the Technicolor TC8305C is the one causing this, it's because of a firmware update by Xfinity that caused many issues for people including me! So I recommend either requesting a Cisco DPC3939 (XB3) Gateway or a Arris TC862G from Comcast. I've heard that
    the Arris gateways also have similar issues but it can be fixed with a firmware update!

    Microsoft can't do anything about this since it's at Comcast's end and nobody is sure when this will be fixed.

    Hey there ItsTheKing11!

    Thanks for posting back! There known issues with that Arris gateway regarding random disconnects similar to what you have described. I recommend checking out our Arris
    TG862G Known Issues post and update the Arris' firmware to version 7.6.59c or later.

    In addition to updating your Arris TG862G's firmware, I also suggest disabling UPnP if you only own one Xbox console and have already forwarded the proper ports. UPnP is useful only if there are more than one Xbox 360 or Xbox One console.

    After you have updated your Arris device to it's latest firmware, turned off UPnP, and have verified that the proper ports have been opened on your Arris gateway, post back and let us know if the issue persists or not! :)

    I got the XB3 Wireless gateway and it has been excellent ever since!

    keep getting kicked off xbox live when playing online MP why is this happening with this game?

    Guys, you can get a free gateway from Comcast that works. It's the Arris series. The TG862G and the TG852G Work fine! Just go and exchange it for an Arris or Cisco model. If you can't, the other option is to call Comcast and they will configure some settings
    to help you stay online. The Arris models are working for people that have the Technicolor TC8305C.
