Arris Arris NVG599: Router filtering MAC address

Hello there lovestheganja28!

If you have tried the previously posted troubleshooting steps, then can I ask, how are you connected?

Wired or wirelessly?

Does it recognize that your network is set up at all?

If it does, what happens when you go to Network Settings and test your Multiplayer Connection?

If the previously posted steps didn't help, then I would try referring to our guide entitled ”I get an error message when I run
the ‘Test multiplayer connection’ on Xbox One
” and/or make sure that your network is setup the way it's outlined on our support page

Network settings on Xbox One
.

Give that information a look through and let us know how that helped with the issue you're dealing with.

Thanks!

Network and Speed Issues

Hey there ItsTheKing11!

Thanks for posting back! There known issues with that Arris gateway regarding random disconnects similar to what you have described. I recommend checking out our Arris
TG862G Known Issues post and update the Arris' firmware to version 7.6.59c or later.

In addition to updating your Arris TG862G's firmware, I also suggest disabling UPnP if you only own one Xbox console and have already forwarded the proper ports. UPnP is useful only if there are more than one Xbox 360 or Xbox One console.

After you have updated your Arris device to it's latest firmware, turned off UPnP, and have verified that the proper ports have been opened on your Arris gateway, post back and let us know if the issue persists or not! :)

NAT Problems with **** NVG599 Gateway

Greetings!

Do you connect more than one Xbox console to your Arris NVG599?
I have tried all the usual solutions such as port forwarding
Whenever you configure Port Forwarding, or DMZ, make sure you only configure one of these features one at a time. This include UPnP, as to if you where to choose to
use UPnP, Port Forwarding and DMZ has to be disable. The same rule would apply when you manually configure Port Forwarding, where UPnP and DMZ should be disabled.
and have tried connecting through a linksys router
The NAT behaviour on your Linksys router can only function properly as long as your Arris NVG599 is operating in bridge mode. Otherwise, every device on your network that has
to reach out to the Internet-at-large, has to be routed/NAT'd twice. And since the vast majority of customer routers doesn't support this type of topology, you would have to configure your gateway into a pass-through mode, or as a transparent bridge, also
known as bridge mode.
