Arris (Modems/Gateways) Arris DG860A: I can not get back on Xbox live (360)
NOTE my **** router is a DG2460A - not listed if this helps any...

2 days ago my fifa 17 froze in an unusual spot. I shutdown, and restarted it only for it to go to the first screen and stop there. Never said EA sports it's in the game or whatever. I play Forza 4 too, not one problem. So i spoke with support for over
an hour and half, they had no clue. I had hit initial setup to clear everything, even my USB saved info was gone. Now I can not for the life of me get LIve up and running.

    '

The first problem was fifa was scratched rather much, I had it buffed and it worked on a stores xbox no problem. At home, I tried both my 360 and a friends newer 360 and still have the same issues. It wants me to download updates and it never finishes
them. It always says either an error or no connection and always stops before completing. I have configured network many times, it always fails at LIVE. I have never had this issue once for so many years. I never touched router or anything except to unplug.
Only other thing I did was change to channel 11 instead of auto, but thats no reason an update can't download due to connection issues....fifa still won't play probably because it uses live mainly. Any clues to why it is doing this, and what to do in order
to fix it...I'm losing it here, its driving me nuts. I have sat here and made calls forever with no result.

I assume when i wiped everything it caused this, but why can't I download live again...essentially it cleared everything basically ike it was a new system?

    Thanks for any help provided!!

    :)

NAT Issues Using Gateway and Router

There is some indication that a TW tech can put the Arris in bridge mode or that you can do it yourself by logging in immediately after resetting it to defaults:

    www.dslreports.com/.../r27274883-TWC-Does-anyone-else-have-an-Arris-DG860a-modem-

Alternatively, see if TW will provide a modem only or buy your own (cheaper than leasing in long run and gives you more control). Failing that, assuming you can configure port forwarding, DMZ, etc. on the Arris, you have a couple options. First, with the
Arris connected to the WAN port of the N900, you could try putting the WAN IP of your N900 (this should be a private IP received from the Arris over DHCP) in the DMZ on the Arris (delete any other forwards on the Arris). Do all port forwarding and DHCP as
usual on the N900. Or, second, you should be able to use the N900 as just a switch + wireless access point (bypass NAT routing) by disabling DHCP on the N900 and connecting the Arris to a LAN port on the N900 rather than to the WAN port. All NAT, port forwarding,
and DHCP would then be provided by the Arris.

Personally, I would just get a modem only, such as the Motorola 6141 (if supported by TW).

    Arris Arris DG860A: Double NAT

Same here. Happened about 2 weeks ago after the update. Have been on with support a few times and they tell me to call my ISP. I work for my isp. I’ve been though the network with my boss and there are no problems. Not to mention we have many other clients
on our network using Xbox Live no problem. This is clearly Xbox software issue, we need a fix.

    Keep getting disconnected randomly

There is a known incompatible issue with the Xbox and the Comcast Arris Modem. See if you can get Comcast to bring you a modem that is not an Arris model.
