    Xbox One - Microphone Icon Always Muted

    Hello

    Following a recent update my headset has stopped working, both in terms of the microphone and the earphones.

    I have swopped the headset out for another two other headsets, and indeed changed the controller.

    I can't help but notice that the in the top right hand corner of the screen there is a new microphone icon, which is showing as muted. I cannot find anywhere you enable this.

    The controllers are both patched up to the latest patch, and both of them are showing the volume button in the controller setup menu as greyed out.

    If anyone can help it would be really appreciated.

    XBox mic icon muted permanently

    Following a recent update my headset has stopped working, both in terms of the microphone and the earphones.

    It's not the headset, and controllers both work otherwise.

    In the top right hand corner of the screen there is a microphone icon, which is showing as muted. I cannot find anywhere you enable this.

    The controllers are both updated, and both of them are showing the volume button in the controller setup menu as not choosable.

    I see that this has been a common problem, and I have spent about two hours trying to fix it according to feedback, to no avail. Any new ideas?

    Check and make sure headset is being recognized. If so then check your nat type. If you and your friends have different nat types they may conflict with each other and cause communication issues.

    Hello!

    Have you checked your audio setting in your system to make sure your setting didnt get messed up? Did anyone get accidentally blocked from voice chat? I had a similar problem recently where my headset itself needed to be replaced:(
