Ark Survival Evolved windows 10 edition won't start on my pc

Hi everyone,

i'm having an issue with my windows 10 version of ark , i'm not able to launch the game, a blue window opens up with the ark logo in the middle for about 10-20 seconds or more and then it automatically closes, i already tried some fixes but they don't seem to be working.

for some reason i'm not able to start the game on this pc.

tried reinstall it ,i updated drivers ,i also updated windows

i got ryzen 5 1600 / 16g ram / invidia geforce rtx 2060 super

please help.

hello there and thank you for coming to the forums, sorry to hear you are having some problems getting Ark to load up.

i dont know too much when it comes to pc gaming but i did find a link that could possibly help it gives multiple things to do to get it working with windows 10 -> Ark

Have you checked for Win10 updates on the laptop? I when I play on the laptop had problems with some games that did not open, updated Win10 and returned to work normally. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately this does not seem to be the problem because in the windows update settings no updates show up after scan

thanks to everyone that has replied,

after some tries i managed to fix the game, for everyone who has the same issue, all i did to fix it was:

1: go to desktop > right click > nvidia control panel > manage 3D settings > program settings > look for ark and select it > select high performance nvidia processor and click apply >close

2: go to microsoft store (make sure you are signed in with the account that bought the game) > in the top right corner click the 3 dots > click settings > scroll down to offline permissions and turn it on.

- if the fix didn't work try logging in with another account

this was my problem and that's how i fixed it, hope this helps.

Does your computer meet the minimum requirements for Ark: Survival Evolved?

If you're not sure what your computer has, you can type "dxdiag" in the Windows 10 search box, and run the application that comes up, and it should gather and present that information to you in a comparable fashion.

I would also recommend starting with your graphics drivers, and checking if they are up to date. You can find the latest drivers on the manufacturers website.
