Ark Survival Evolved Windows 10 - Cannot connect to server after dedicated host pc gets locked

My current setup to host this game is I have a Virtual Machine running on a hypervisor server (using Hyper-V), this VM runs Windows 10.

I start up the game and host the server, the only way I know of to join the server is to join the user hosting it via the xbox app, however when after a while the VM gets locked because I disconnect from it, it becomes impossible to join via the xbox app
anymore.

The user is supposedly still playing the game, but it cannot be joined and also cannot invite others to join.

As this is the only way to host a dedicated server for the Crossplay version of Ark, I would like to have this issue resolved.

Currently my only solution is when someone wants to join the server, is to restart the dedicated server so the game becomes joinable again.

So if I do not have access to the server, of someone wants to join without me, we won't be able to connect.

Any ideas?

And please do not refer me to basic troubleshooting, the network connectivity works just fine as long as I am still logged in on the VM.

This guide is for normal ark, not the microsoft store version.

That can be the some Firewall closing the dors to your Server after some time, check your Firewall configuration in both systems

How would it be possible for the firewall to close the connection only after a certain ammount of time?

Seems to me like it mostly is to blame on the companion app not checking whether or not a game is being hosted anymore.

Hi, that some like with the your server close the internet for your dedicade server, you see if your vm network is fine and if your physic S.O is send internet for your vm too? That can be the some Firewall closing the dors to your Server after some time,
check your Firewall configuration in both systems
