Ark Survival Evolved is taking up space on my ssd without being installed?

I was installing Ark Survival Evolved on my PC using Xbox app. But the installation was not working so I canceled it and tried starting it again. But it showed that the failed installation took up 163 gb on my SSD without the game being installed. Help would be appreciated. I cannot see the game in my xboxgames folder on my c drive either. Thank you. I am on windows 10.

Did you install games while installing Ark?

Do you mind providing us a screenshot of the breakdown of your storage usage?

How many games did you install from Xbox app?

Is your SSD the one that you set your Xbox games installs? see launch Xbox app > click gamerpic > settings > general > under Game install options

Make sure to restart your PC to see if it still taking your SSD space as this could be a system glitch.

If it's the same, then try to check hidden files on your SSD by going to the location of your SSD or the drive letter, then check hidden items by clicking View Tab, then look for the installation files of the game to see if it exists.

Ark Survival Evolved is a full game, and Ark Extinction is an add-on. Your title and description are contrary to each other and so I'm confused.

If you purchased Ark Survival Evolved then you should be just able to play it. However, if you purchased Ark Extinction then you must also purchase Ark
Survival Evolved.
