ark not letting friend join

I am on pc on the windows edition of ark and he is on Xbox and when I invite him and he try’s to join it says join failed or host connection timed out and it has work many times before but sometimes it doesn’t also I’m in a non dedicated server do you know how I could fix this

Let's rule out that it is a problem with your account.

And in the "Xbox and Windows 10 Online Security" part, set everything to allow.

You can only do these settings if you are of legal age according to your date of birth in this link.

If you are a minor, your parent/guardian will need to add you to a family group and set up your account.

If i buy xbox pass and download ark for free, will i able to join steam ARK servers or EPIC ark servers, plz let me know so that i can buy it.

The Xbox Game Pass will only allow you to play with the Xbox Game Pass for PC, and Xbox versions.

I’m playing Ark from my Xbox One, my nat is listed as strict but I don’t know how to change that. The "Join failed" message appears when I try to join a friend’s game and also appears to my friend when I invite him and tries to join my game

Try changing your DNS to a public one

Go to the Control Panel.

Click Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings.

Select the connection for which you want to configure DNS.

right-click the Wi-Fi interface and select Properties.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Click Advanced and select the DNS tab. If there are any DNS server IP addresses listed there, write them down for future reference, and remove them from this window.

Click OK.

Replace those addresses :

For IPv4: 8.8.8.8 and/or 8.8.4.4.

For IPv6: 2001:4860:4860::8888 and/or 2001:4860:4860::8844.
